There will be a workshop, they said. It will be fun, they said.
You are in a meeting, and at some point you realize the discussion is going in an endless loop. People don’t seem to agree on what the ideal solution should be. Different points of view are being thrown into the discussion, and the conversation is starting to heat up.
At some point, someone proposes:
— We should do a workshop to figure that out.
Now we don’t have to worry about untangling this uncomfortable problem we’re in; we can simply postpone this discussion to a later date. The meeting then continues; the tension in the room is suddenly dissipated.
There will be a workshop, they said.
It will be fun.
