Sometimes the mood calls for a specific song. Some of these moments happen when you are outside — in a café, bookshop, laundromat or a pub. In the past people tried to solve it with jukebox machines. Today they have almost vanished from our life, but one still doesn't have any other means to listen to a song of one's choice while drinking coffee at the local coffee house.
At one point I realised that we have everything we need to make it happen. I have Spotify at my fingertips. Shops, restaurants and bars frequently use Spotify to play their music. How hard can it be to connect those two?
Disclaimer: I do not work for Spotify, and both the problem & the solution described below are merely the result of my speculation on the topic.
Jukebox gives users control over music in public spaces — cafés, restaurants, bars, laundromats, parks, etc.
