And there’s no better place to go than HackerRank to build this level of credibility.

HackerRank is an online service where you can take programming challenges to prove your level of knowledge. You’ll be ranked based on certain abilities and these ranks can be used as proof for potential employers.

The site features over 30 languages including PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, and SQL. Each programming task also falls into one of 5 domains:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Algorithms
  • Functional Programming
  • Minimalist Problem Solving
  • Machine Learning

Certain tech companies partner with HackerRank and check the leaderboards frequently. The best talent rises to the top and often receives job offers.
