Design and Illustration Studio Brave the Woods AOTW#3

Today we are talking about an amazing design studio, Brave the Woods. And when I say that they are amazing I really mean it. Continue reading to find out why.

Who is Brave the Woods?

Brave the Woods is a design & illustration studio that was born out of love. Brad and Krystal Woodard met at College where they fell for each other and together, for design. They set the goal to start a creative studio together someday, and a few courses taken and a few diplomas in design and illustration later, the couple fulfilled their dream.

Brave the Woods is not simply a name, it’s a call to action to be adventurous and curious. It is what we believe and how we work. Our work is always evolving as we experiment, play and continue putting in the mileage.

Their studio is described by color, fun, hard work, and perseverance. They surround themselves with positive people who admire their work, and they take pride in what they do. When one of their projects is rejected, they add it to their “Lab,” the place where they display the work that made them be this good at what they do. The couple even says that they don’t take themselves too seriously.

What do they do?

Brave the Woods’ main focus is, of course, design and illustration. They have a rich portfolio that includes logos, cards, branding, character illustrations, packaging, lettering. They collaborated with important brands such as Honda, Old Navy, Target, History Channel, Coca-Cola, Intel, Microsoft, and other. What we really appreciated about Brave the Woods and the reason that convinced us to feature them on our blog, is their interest in education. The Artists for Education project is aimed specifically at teachers in need. They create posters, puzzles, books, stickers, journals, children’s magazines, etc., that help children learn and succeed.
