Recently I complained on Twitter about the inspector in Sketch and how difficult it is to use when you have nested Symbols. I decided to take some time today to envision a solution that allows for easier navigation of nested Symbols, but that would be purely cosmetic to implement for the team at Sketch.
This was a lot more challenging than I anticipated. To make the entire inspector resizable, I had to redraw the entire Inspector pane. It was such a weird experience re-designing Sketch’s interface inside of Sketch!
Attached is my Sketch file for this project so you can remix it however you like. It includes an entirely vectorized Sketch inspector.
Let me know what you think!
